In Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District, LCV Action Fund-endorsed Lanon Baccam is challenging incumbent Republican Zach Nunn. Working at the USDA under former Governor Tom Vilsack, Lanon Baccam saw firsthand the devastating impacts of climate change on Iowa’s farmers. In this role he also helped to connect military veterans with opportunities in agriculture to support those who have served our country. Zach Nunn has an 8% LCV score and voted three times to repeal tax credits for clean energy that is being produced at home in Iowa and is expected to bring down Iowans’ household energy spending by a combined $1.3 billion in the coming decades.
